located in Manatee County between St. Petersburg and Bradenton Beach,
just minutes from the Gulf of Mexico beaches.The beaches of Manatee
County, near Palmetto, are broad and wide and unspoiled by high-rise
hotels or condominiums. Palmetto is also home to the Manatee County
fairgrounds were numerous events including the county fair take place
throughout the year.

There is nothing to spoil the natural beauty of the emerald waters of
the Gulf and white sands that are bordered by tall, shady Australian
Pines. The fishing in the region is legend and along the bays,
bayous and shores of the Gulf are trout, redfish, pompano and flounder.
The county of Manatee is served by a total of 30 marinas. There are also
five parks in the area; Egmont Key State Park, Fort De Soto Park, Lake
Manatee State Park, Little Manatee River State Park, and Myakka River
State Park. In addition, Palmetto is home to an annual Tomato Festival,
a 4th of July celebration, the Manatee County Fair, Cinco de Mayo and an
annual parade in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
