Bradenton Beach offers some of the greatest beaches in the world!

This scenic shoreline byway starts at the south end of the seven-mile Anna Maria Island and ends 2.8 miles to the north in historic Bradenton Beach. Swimming, sunbathing, wildlife viewing, and picnicking are just some of the recreational opportunities provided along the route. The byway intersects Bridge Street in Bradenton Beach, which continues to historic Bridge Street Pier. The pier is famous along the Intercoastal Waterway for its fishing, dining, and strolling.

Our museums, historical attractions and eco-tourism opportunities are bound to fill your soul with wonder and delight.

Bradenton Beach is a charming and vibrant community of 1,500 located at the southern end of Anna Maria Island. The Island is located at the southern entrance to Tampa Bay on the Gulf of Mexico.

Access to Anna Maria Island can be achieved from the mainland (Bradenton) via bridges on Cortez Road or Manatee Avenue or from Longboat Key to the south via the bridge over Longboat Pass

The city boasts miles of uninterrupted supervised public sugar sand beaches on the Gulf side and calm docking and mooring areas on the mangrove lined bay side.

You can fish from the popular City Pier, which features a full service Café and where bait is available. Inshore and offshore fishing tours are also readily available from local Guides. There are a number of Parks within city limits, including beach front with picnic facilities and public restrooms. There are numerous public accesses to the beach. There are also public boat ramps at the county managed Bay Side Park at the southern tip of the city
